David and Kam Bullard, Owners
David and Kam Bullard both grew up in the Bay Area, got married in Scotts Valley and have made a life of serving and caring for others. As the local owners and operators of Right at Home, serving Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito Counties they take great pride in bringing their varied experiences together to serve this community by providing high-quality in-home care to seniors and disabled adults. Their mission is to: “Improve the Quality of life for Those We Serve”.
Kam is an RN/BSN and has served patients in a variety of settings since 1990. Her personal commitment to comprehensive and compassionate care for the elderly and their families is an invaluable resource. Kam understands that caring for clients reaches far beyond the one needing the immediate care. The entire family unit is involved and affected in some way. She knows being able to communicate clearly, completely, and in a timely manner regarding a loved one’s care, including changes in their current condition, is crucial to the entire family’s peace of mind. In 2012, Kam lost her mom, who was 94 years old, so Kam understands firsthand the type of care and communication families need and deserve.
Prior to starting Right at Home of the Monterey Bay Area, David’s business career revolved around his ability to listen and take care of customer and client needs. From nonprofit fundraising to healthcare management consulting, taking care of client needs personally, promptly, and professionally has been the focus of his work. David believes it is the total client experience that he and Kam have worked hard to create that is the critical differentiation in their agency. From your first phone call, to designing a custom care plan, to supporting and supervising caregivers, to ongoing communication, everything they do is intended to demonstrate this commitment to personal and professional care and service.
“At the core of our philosophy is a belief in the dignity and value of every person. From our clients, to their families, our care staff, and those that refer business to us we’ve tried to create a culture that communicates that value. This is not a job for us, it’s missional”, David says.
