Advocates for Nebraska’s Aging Population Call for Legislation, Community Involvement

Right at Home is a member of Moving Health Home, an in-home care advocacy group that is working to enact legislation to streamline care for the aging population and their providers. The bipartisan Expanding Care in the Home Act, recently introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives by Rep. Adrian Smith (R-NE), is one such bill. Doug Robertson, Right at Home Director of Health Care Regulation and Compliance, says that Moving Health Home aims to help small-business owners who are wrestling with health care regulations and reimbursement policies.

New Bill Aims To Get Personal Care Covered by Traditional Medicare

The Expanding Care in the Home Act will be introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives by Rep. Adrian Smith (R-NE) and Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI). The bill creates a personal care services benefit in Medicare to give aid to beneficiaries who are unable to afford out-of-pocket payments but don’t qualify for home care services by Medicaid.
