Right at Home Announces Rod Roberts as New Chief Operating Officer
Right at Home, a global leader in professional in-home care and assistance for seniors and adults with disabilities, is pleased to welcome Rod Roberts as its new Chief Operating Officer. With a lifelong career in service franchising, Roberts brings unparalleled experience to the position. In his role, Roberts is responsible for leading core operational functions, maximizing efficiencies, and supporting high-performing teams to scale clinical excellence, international business, and company-owned operations.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rod to Right at Home,” said Margaret Haynes, President and CEO of Right at Home. “He is a trusted leader with vast experience across the home care industry. What he brings in knowledge is equally matched by his drive and heart to continue to raise the bar for in-home care and help every client live successfully in their home.”
Prior to joining Right at Home, Roberts spent over 37 years on both sides of the franchisee and franchisor business model. At age 22, after earning his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, he became a pioneer franchise owner in a new market for Merry Maids. He successfully developed and grew the professional home cleaning service, and since then, has owned three leading franchises in home cleaning and in-home care. His franchise-level success led him to a corporate position at an international home care company. Throughout his tenure there, he held key leadership positions in franchise operations, international branch operations, and franchise development.

“I am enthusiastic about the future and this incredible opportunity to combine my experience and my aspiration to help make an even greater impact in the home care industry and in the lives we touch every day,” said Roberts. “We’re in the people business and it is our job to support our network of owners so they can deliver the best care.”
Learning from the ground up as a franchisee, Roberts understands the complexities of running a business. His depth in understanding the intricacies of local to corporate operations will be instrumental in shaping the organization’s strategic direction and accelerating growth to help meet the demand for in-home care.
“It’s interesting to look back and reflect on the things that put you on your path,” said Roberts. “Opening my first service franchise taught me so much about business stewardship, but even more about the integrity of caring for others like family. This is engrained in me and in the culture of Right at Home.”
Roberts is most excited about the future of the home care industry. As the senior population continues to grow, there will be more opportunities to provide the expert-level care and assistance needed to help them live successfully in their homes.
