Study: Older Adults Spending Billions on Home Repairs To Age in Place

Older homeowners spent over $84 billion on home improvement projects in 2021, an amount that is expected to grow significantly as baby boomers modify their homes to age in place. The figure is part of a 2023 housing study released March 23 by Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies.
