Rachel Field
Owner & President
Rachel Field grew up in Baltimore, MD, and attended Union College in Schenectady, NY where she met Matt, who nearly four years later became her husband. In the early years of Rachel's career, she was in the non-profit sector, working with teens and their families. In 2012, Rachel and Matt opened Right at Home of North Suburban Chicago, originally located in Deerfield. In 2018, Rachel became the President of the company and leads a strong team of professionals who are dedicated to providing solutions to individuals and families who require home care, companionship, and skilled nursing services. The team approach of Right at Home ensures a commitment to quality care unrivaled in the industry.
Rachel and her leadership staff are also dedicated to building and supporting a strong team of caregivers, CNAs, and nurses who truly understand the mission to improve the quality of life of life for those who we serve. Right at Home is proud to be an employer of choice under Rachel's leadership, year after year.
When Rachel is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her two dogs, Lola and Mabel. She also enjoys reading, and playing canasta and mahjong with her friends.


Cissie Gerber
Assistant Agency Manager
Cissie Gerber has performed many roles in the senior care industry since 2008, from activity director, to hospital liaison, community outreach, and sales and marketing. She joined Matt and Rachel Field at Right at Home in 2017 as their Assistant Agency Manager. Her responsibilities include the day to day operations, client assessments, sales and marketing and event planning. Dearest to Cissie's heart is educating and training professionals, staff and families on dementia. Recently, Cissie became a certified Dementia Live Coach and will be joining the North Shore walking committee with the Alzheimer's Association.
In the years she worked in skilled nursing, she was honored with the "Health Care Census Award," presented by Life Care Services and the "Dedication Corporate Award," from the North Shore Senior Center.
When Cissie is not working she spends time with her family and her four dogs. On just about every Sunday morning you can catch her in her kitchen cooking, and then heading out to the lake with her furry friends.


Matt Field
Owner and CFO
Matt was born and raised on the North Shore. After graduating from Union College in Schenectady, NY, he began studies at the Jewish Theological Seminary, where he was ordained several years later. Matt spent over a decade working as a rabbi in upstate New York, where the majority of his pastoral work was focused on supporting the needs of his congregation's aging population. In 2012, Matt and Rachel decided to move to Chicago to be closer to family, when they opened Right at Home. Matt enjoys working with families and helping to guide them through difficult transitions, bringing a sense of confidence and comfort. Matt continues to provide support and services as a rabbi when needed, and teaches on a volunteer basis to residents of a variety of senior living communities around the North Shore.
Matt is a Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.
When Matt is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. Matt is also an avid distance runner. He particularly likes training for and racing races of marathon distance and longer.


Jenn Howard
Nurse Manager
Jenn Howard, RN, is the Nurse Manager at Right at Home of North Suburban Chicago. Jenn has been an RN for over 10 years, with extensive experience in Home Health Nursing and Home Health Management. Prior to that, Jenn worked in inpatient psych and with the homeless population in Uptown Chicago. Jenn has a passion for helping those in need, and that commitment truly shows in her interactions with clients and their families.


Priscilla Castillo
Director of Client Care
Priscilla was born in Belize. Most of her professional life has been spent in health care. She began working with Right at Home in 2014 as a caregiver. Her special connection with her clients was noted early in her career with Right at Home and soon she became a field supervisor. Priscilla has steadily gained more responsibilities at Right at Home and now serves as Director of Client Care, responsible for ensuring clients have the proper level of care. She works tirelessly to ensure that Right at Home clients, their families, and caregivers are satisfied.
When Priscilla is not at Right at Home, she is studying to become a Registered Nurse. She does a masterful job balancing her various responsibilities and is constantly striving to extend her own expertise and abilities to provide the best care solutions to clients and patients.
In Priscilla's free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughters, nieces, and her two dogs. She also likes cooking, bike riding and going dancing.


Vanessa Roman
Field Supervisor
Vanessa Roman is one of the field supervisors at Right at Home of North Suburban Chicago. Vanessa has been working in long-term care since 2007 when she started as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), working for the Ray Graham Association. Vanessa was promoted to supervisor for one of the organization's residential homes, overseeing 16 residents and 10 staff members. In addition to working with individuals with disabilities, Vanessa also has strong experience in senior care, working at memory care community in the northwest suburbs. Vanessa first joined Right at Home in 2016 as a caregiver. In 2018 Vanessa was promoted to her current supervisory role. Vanessa brings confidence to our clients, ensuring that our caregivers are providing the very best care. And she always brings laughter to the office team.
When Vanessa is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two children. She was a coach for her children's soccer teams for four years. Vanessa also enjoys roller coasters and haunted houses.
