1. Develop a Client Care Profile
When you call Right at Home, we start by gathering information on how we can best help you. We’ll ask some questions to get a better understanding of your wishes. Then, we’ll arrange an in-home visit to perform a basic needs and environment assessment as well as answer any questions you may have.

2. Create a Person-Centered Care Plan
Next, we’ll craft a person-centered care plan that is tailored to your needs. The plan incorporates your and your loved one’s history, routines, and preferences in order to create support activities that will provide the most benefit. We will review the care plan with you in detail and modify it as you see fit.

3. Identify the Best Caregiver for You
Allowing someone into your home is a big step. We are honored and grateful that you put your trust in us. So, it’s important that we make the perfect caregiver match. We consider numerous factors such as interests, personalities, and services needed. All caregivers are screened, including background and reference checks. They are also bonded/insured. Of course, your comfort matters the most. If you ever have any concerns, we will work to find you a new caregiver.

5. Provide Ongoing Support
Right at Home caregivers keep detailed notes so you know exactly what happened each time they provided service. Supervisory staff also make periodic visits to your loved one’s home to ensure things are going well. And, because your care team is trained to notice and report changes in health or condition, we can quickly adjust care if needed.

Canines FORE Comfort 2023

Right at Home Grayslake office was a proud sponsor of the Canines "FORE" Comfort 2023 Charity Golf Outing at the Fox Lake Country Club. This was our 2nd year of supporting this great event and partner by donating golf towels. Their mission of "providing hope and comfort for veterans, children, and the community through companionship with psychiatric service dogs and emotional support animals" is one that matches our core values. Right at Home owner, Mike Steiner, started his dog training with Canines4Comfort and one of the member's of the organization trusts Right at Home with the care of one of their loved ones. 

 

Illinois Continuity of Care Lake McHenry Chapter Meeting

Our Right at Home Grayslake office was thrilled to host the Illinois Continuity of Care Lake/McHenry Chapter Meeting. This meeting featured TOPS in Dog Training in Grayslake which is owned and operated by Alex and Paula Rothacker. Their passion for dog training and desire to care for animals lead them to open TOPS in 1978. Over the years, Alex and Paula have worked hard to build a very talented and caring team and today, Alex is the top K9 training for Lake County. Alex has coined the term, "Anything with dogs, it's consistency and praise."

Our 10 Year Anniversary Party

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary with a 'Christmas in July' party and invited all of our friends including staff, referral partners, caregivers and family. To be able to provide care to seniors so that they are able to remain in their homes is extremely rewarding. To be able to do this for 10 years – and to be recognized by Home Care Pulse and Caring.com as the highest rated Agency in Lake County – is priceless.

2023 Grand Dominion Home and Business Expo

The 2023 Grand Dominion by Del Webb Home and Business Expo was another great event, that we've now been participating in for over 8 years, that we were happy to be a part of in Mundelein. Our Human Resources Manager, Josh Steiner, and our Care Manager, Ken Rose, were there chatting with attendees about our services. We spoke to many about how Right at Home is Veteran Owned and Operated and how we help other veterans, including surviving spouses to attain benefits that they never knew existed. We also helped to provide information about Long Term Care Plans and how we assist people review and understand them and help come up with strategies to minimize out of pocket expenses.
