May 2019 Food Truck Frenzy
Raising Money for the Prevention of Child Abuse
Caryl Bastek, one of our excellent caregivers was doing her best to keep warm at the Grayslake Exchange Club’s Food Truck Frenzy that was held on Saturday May 10th at the College of Lake County to raise money for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
Mike Steiner, owner of Right at Home and current President of the Grayslake Exchange Club enjoyed greeting people while collecting money at the entrance.
The Grayslake Exchange Club is a service organization to help serve the community by holding several fundraisers throughout the year. Although our National Service Project is the Prevention of Child Abuse, the Club provides monetary awards to Student of the Month and provides funds to over 25 charitable organizations in the Lake County area.
At the event we had a contest for our caregivers. When they visited our table they would get one chance to win a Lottery Ticket Bouquet and if they had their Right at Home Shirt on, they’d get 5 chances! Congratulations to our winner Rene Dudick!
There were some great tables set up at the event. Mike Steiner's son is a glass blower and had a table set up showcasing his beautiful glass work of vases and bowls.
