Proudly Serving the Community for 7 Years
Our Vision
Our Vision is to be The Leader in Senior Care in the Great Lakes Bay and Mid-Michigan Region.
That’s a bold statement. To be the Leader, our vision has several components.
First and foremost is that we are providing the best care possible to our clients – seniors, people recovering from injury and illness and those with a life-long challenge due to a disability.
Second, we want to be important contributor to the community. We want to not only provide great care, but be a resource and a force for education and change for the communities we serve.
And, finally we want Right at Home to be the best place to work for our caregivers. After all, without our great caregiver team, we can’t fulfill our mission.

Our Mission
Put simply, our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Of course, we recognize that everyone’s idea of “quality of life” is different, which is why it’s so important to us to make you an active part of your own care plan. We want you to be in the driver’s seat regardless of any limitations or challenges you’re facing.
Most of all, we believe aging isn’t just about staying healthy, safe and independent. It’s also about living well.
Our Core Values
Core values define our character.
We are Client-Focused. We are always looking for ways to serve our clients and their families.
We treat everyone with Dignity and Respect. We follow the ‘golden rule’ of treating others as we would want to be treated if we were in their situation.
Integrity is fundamental. We are doing the right things, the right way for the right reason.
Teamwork is essential for taking care of our clients. It takes a great team of caregivers and office staff working with the client, their family and sometimes our partners to provide the best outcome for those we care for.
Finally, we value Positive Energy and a ‘can do’ spirit.
Meet the team who lives these core values.

Our History
During his years working as a hospital administrator, our founder Allen Hager watched many patients, especially seniors, leave the hospital and return home. But they did not necessarily return to health. Allen found that, once at home, a lot of his former patients were unable to care for themselves. He knew that with a little help, most of these people could lead healthy, happy lives in their homes. This became the idea for Right at Home.
After talking to dozens of families about the challenges they faced and what kinds of care would help, he became a certified nursing assistant to experience firsthand the needs of people who required professional assistance to continue living at home.
Today, with the help of Allen’s insights, Right at Home has grown to over 600 locations that serve tens of thousands of clients across the U.S. and around the world.
Our Philanthropies
Right at Home’s mission is “to improve the quality of life for those we serve,” and expanding our mission to serve others around the world is truly a pleasure. We support many organizations that help people live independently.

Free Wheelchair Mission
Globally, an estimated 70 million people with disabilities have no access to a wheelchair. Those who cannot walk must crawl or be carried to their destination. In collaboration with a network of like-minded partners, Free Wheelchair Mission has distributed more than 1 million wheelchairs to people with disabilities in 93 developing countries around the world, providing renewed dignity, independence and hope through the gift of mobility, at no cost to the recipient.
As an organization, our work with Free Wheelchair Mission began in 2016 as we looked for a partner that would help us further our mission of improving lives worldwide. To date, our team’s efforts have raised more than $400,000 that has funded over 5,000 wheelchairs, which were distributed through life-changing Vision Trips to Vietnam, Ecuador and Costa Rica.

Josiah’s House
Over half of the children living in the Dominican Republic live below the poverty line and can be found on the streets in at-risk surroundings in order to make money. Josiah’s House runs family-style homes that provide vulnerable boys and girls with the basic necessities, education, life skills, and family home atmosphere needed to succeed.
Recently, 70 Right at Home offices came together to support Josiah’s House by supplying everyday items for the children of Josiah’s House. The group delivered suitcases full of clothing, personal hygiene items, toys, and other supplies.
