Our People

Here at Right at Home, we're dedicated to being much more than a franchise company. We are the navigator of what comes next for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our mission has always been to improve the quality of life for those we serve.  That means it's always about the people we serve, and our dedicated local owners and their professional teams work tirelessly to care for clients. Though we make sure our franchises live and breathe our mission every day, we recognize that it starts with our corporate team.

These are the people who work behind the scenes to bring you and your loved ones the highest caliber of inhome care.

Jim Gall

Right at Home – Northern Michigan is owned by Jim Gall.  Jim has been part of the Right at Home system since August 2012 when he took an early retirement after 27 years with Dow where he had a number of roles, including Chemist, Business Research, Business Development and Strategic Market Manager.

As Jim was getting to leave Dow, he knew he wanted to do something that he could ‘feel good about’ at the end of the day and something that made a bigger difference.  Having seen the impact years ago on his mom knowing she couldn’t take care of his grandmother, the decision to join the Right at Home system became a ‘no brainer’.  Jim saw a new career opportunity where he could help those daughters (and son’s) take care of their mom’s (and dad’s too!).  Little did he know was that while Right at Home could help all those seniors, people recovering from illness / injury and people dealing with life-long challenges was the impact he could have by providing jobs to the communities that Right at Home serves.  To date, Right at Home has served and employed over 1000 people!

Jim has gone through extensive training, including various Right at Home programs, Alzheimer’s Association’s essentiALZ® Plus Advanced Dementia Care training, and with the Society of Certified Senior Advisors to earn the title of Certified Senior Advisor since 2013.

As the owner, Jim wears many hats, including overseeing the organization, researching and implementing programs to improve care for our clients as well as making Right at Home the best employer possible for our caregiver staff.

Jim believes that a key foundation for our success is our commitment to the communities we serve.  Therefore, he is also affiliated with the following: Walk to End Alzheimer's Committee as Chair since 2016, the Midland Business Alliance’s WakeUp! Midland Committee, an Ambassador for the Midland Business Alliance, a Four-Tenet Partner of Conscious Capitalism Great Lakes Bay Region Chapter, Finance Chair of Boy Scouts of America’s Heartland District, and as a past member of Cancer Services of Midland Board of Directors (2013-2023) and the Saginaw Commission on Aging's Dementia Advisory Board.

Jim has been the coordinator of the Saginaw-based PASS - Professional Alliance for Senior Services group since 2016, a member of the groups CARE - Compassionate Associates Reaching the Elderly and MASC - Midland Alliance for Senior Care, an editorial advisor for "Second Act: Life at 50+ (show on Delta College TV), a member of Midland’s Noon Rotary organization, and a graduate of Leadership Midland.  He also served as the co-founder of the Great Lakes Bay Caregiver Retreat.

Under his watch, Right at Home has most recently won numerous awards for the care it provides and as an employer including, being named a five-time winner of Caring.com’s Caring Super Star award based on client testimonials, and three time winners of both Home Care Pulse’s “Leader in Experience” award based on client and employee quality surveys and Midland Daily News’s #1 Home Care Award in their Readers Choice Survey.
Jim has also been named to Right at Home’s Presidents Circle numerous times, awarded Right at Home’s prestigious Alan Hager Spirit Award for his work to build the Right at Home brand and was most recently awarded the Everett N. Luce Community Champion Award by Senior Services for his work with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
