Jim Gall, Owner
Right at Home – Northern Michigan is owned and led by Jim Gall. Jim has been part of the Right at Home system since August 2012 when he took an early retirement after 27 years with The Dow Chemical Company. Jim has gone through extensive training, including various Right at Home programs, Alzheimer’s Association’s essentiALZ® Plus Advanced Dementia Care training, and with the Society of Certified Senior Advisors to earn the title of Certified Senior Advisor since 2013.
As the owner, Jim wear’s many hats, including overseeing the organization, researching and implementing programs to improve care for our clients as well as making Right at Home the best employer possible for our caregiver staff. And, he’s also been known to even pick up a shift or two now and then!

Kelly Schalk, Field Supervisor
Kelly is one of the first employees of Right at Home! She started at the end of 2012 as a caregiver, primarily working with higher-needs clients. Kelly was promoted in July of 2014 to manage on-call and then again in September of 2014 as the Admin/HR Specialist. Kelly came to Right at Home after many years working in the field. Kelly has earned her Certified Nursing Assistant and Pharmacy Technician licenses.
Kelly’s current roles include overseeing field supervision, primarily to assist new caregivers with Right at Home processes and procedures, new client introductions and the ‘hands-on’ part of our orientation program. On top of all this, Kelly also manages our on-call program.

Katonha Conley, Scheduling Assistant
Katonha originally joined Right at Home in June 2016 as a caregiver after spending nearly 10 years working in the field. Katonha was promoted to Client Care Assistant in August 2016.
Katonha’s current responsibilities include overseeing the scheduling of our caregivers with our clients, following up on client Change in Condition reports, assisting with payroll and other administrative tasks around the office.

Aurora Tyson, Payroll/Receivables Supervisor
Aurora originally joined Right at Home in January of 2013 as a caregiver. Aurora started her current role in October 2016. Aurora was our 2015 Caregiver of the Year, finishing in the Top 20 in United States!
Aurora’s responsibilities include managing our payroll for our caregiver staff, overseeing our invoicing / billing processes with our clients, as well as helping with various other improvement projects.

Rhoda Filcek, RN Supervisor
Rhoda joined Right at Home in March 2017. Rhoda has held nursing positions at a number of long-term care facilities. She has her nursing degree from Mid Michigan Community College.
Rhoda’s primary responsibilities include supervisory field visits to ensure our clients are getting the best care possible and to provide guidance to our caregiver staff, especially with ‘higher needs’ cases. Rhoda also helps to develop and implement our training programs for our caregivers.

Kristin Suderman, Employee Experience & Human Resources Supervisor
Kristin joined Right at Home in December 2018 as our Employee Experience & Human Resources Manager. Kristin originally worked for Right at Home in March 2015 in the office, her duties ranging from caregiver to eventually working with payroll and billing. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a broad background in Customer Service. Previous employment includes working at Michigan Works! as a Case Manager and Employment Specialist as well as an Administrative Assistant at a local independent living facility.
Kristin’s responsibilities include overseeing the recruiting, hiring and managing HR for the office.
