Meet our Wonderful Staff
Kim, Client Care Manager / LVN
Kim has been with Right at Home Northwest Houston & Katy since 2017. After finishing the LVN program and passing the state boards, Kim worked for a Gastroenterologist for 8 years. Before starting with Right at Home Northwest Houston & Katy, she worked with a hematologist/chemotherapy doctor where she was in charge of all infusions. Kim is also CPR/AED Certified.
As the Client Care Manager, Kim manages everyday care of our clients. She communicates with our caregivers and clients with any concerns they may have, assesses their care needs and goals and revising their individual care plan to assure we are meeting their needs. Our goal is to keep our client at home and as independent as possible. We use our Right at Home University to educate our caregivers on clients conditions and needs. They are trained on how to monitor our clients for a change in their condition.
“Home care was a new field for me but I believe in what Right at Home stands for. Right at Home Northwest Houston & Katy’s mission is 'to improve the quality of life of those we serve'. I wanted to be part of this mission. I enjoy the time I spend with our clients and feeling like we are making a difference in their lives. We have an awesome team of people in it for all the right reasons”, Kim notes.
Kim is a mom to 2 very busy teenagers and spends a lot of our free time at basketball games and playing with their 2 dogs.
Brittney, RightCare Staffing Coordinator
In 2014, Brittney joined Right at Home Northwest Houston & Katy as a caregiver and scheduler. That knowledge and dedication moved Brittney in 2017 to the position of Right Care Staffing Coordinator and After Hours On-Call representative. Her responsibilities are coordinating and maintaining scheduling for clients and employees. In addition, she helps with general clerical duties such as answering phones and greeting employees and applicants.
Brittney graduated from Katy High School, Texas Health School, and Tomball Beauty School. She has her Certified Nursing Assistant certification along with having her certification in Cosmetology.
In her words, she chose Right at Home Northwest Houston & Katy because of the company culture, values and growth within the company. The passion for helping others, helping them age gracefully, and the dedication to provide special care to live independent as possible are aspects she likes best about the company.
Spending quality time with her family and helping others is her passion when she has free time.
Shanna, Right Team Care Coordinator
Shanna worked for another Right at Home franchise for 6 years before joining us at Right at Home Northwest Houston in 2019. She attended Lee College and has her CNA and Veterinarian Tech licenses.
Shanna is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training of caregivers and enhancing the overall caregiver experience.
When asked what lead you to choose Right at Home Northwest Houston, Shanna replied “love and passion for helping others”.
Shanna enjoys spending time with her children and being active in their lives. Not only does Shanna have a busy role at work, she is an AFJROTC Booster Club President, Girl Scout Leader and Facilitator and fosters animals.
Amanda, Director of Marketing
Every day I feel humbled and privileged to meet and work with families in their time of need. I enjoy the opportunity to learn about their loved one and, with our team, create the best plan of care,” Amanda says.
Amanda has a BA in Public Relations from Texas Tech University. She has a background in Event and Wedding Planning and has been in the senior living industry for 3 years. She has worked in senior living communities, home health and now home care. Amanda is a licensed Texas Assisting Living Administrator.
As the Director of Marketing, Amanda’s job is to let our community and our health industry partners know what we as a team and company do best: home care for our neighbors. She specifically works with physicians, hospitals, rehabs, senior communities, hospices and home health. She gets the company name to the public and help families learn and know what their options can be when it comes to their loved one and their care needs.
Amanda said she chose to work at Right at Home Northwest Houston & Katy because “Right at Home is one of Houston’s leading home care providers and I am honored to work with this team. Sandi’s determination to provide the highest standard of care coupled with her vision, education and training make us the best.”
Amanda is enjoying being a recent first-time mom, time with her husband and their 2 puppies, Brees and Mia.
Stephanie joined the Right at Home Northwest Houston & Katy’s team in 2015. Beginning as a temporary assignment 3 years ago, “Sandi’s vision, mission and everything it stands for is why I continue to enjoy working for her and Right at Home Northwest Houston & Katy. I feel part of something great. Something meaningful,” Stephanie notes.
Stephanie has an AAS in Business / Human Resource Management and has experience as the Operations Manager for Houston NW Chamber of Commerce and Accounting Manager for Sidewinder Dental Equipment Services. Stephanie uses her accounting skills to processing weekly billing, bi-weekly payroll, accounts payable & receivable, monthly & quarterly reports to officers.
Stephanie enjoys volunteering for the Boy Scout organization and is the current Treasurer and prior Committee Chair.
Derinda, Social Media Manager / Public Relations
"After experiencing excellent, personal service by hiring Right at Home Northwest Houston & Katy for my elders, I am very delighted to now be working for them this past year. This company gave such peace of mind to me as a family caregiver and gives compassionate care. I am thrilled to be able to let others know about this company. I want others to be aware of their services they provide by their trained caregivers and their expert knowledge of trained staff in dementia, safety for elders and the options available to help keep our loved ones independent as long as possible.”
As a retired business owner of an advertising and publication company, BSB in Data Processing Systems degree, and a prior caregiver for her elders, this trio combination makes for a great recipe for her position as the Social Media Director/Public Relations for Right at Home Northwest Houston & Katy.
In addition to working, Derinda enjoys volunteering with the non-profit organization of National Charity League, Inc., spending time with family and doing crafts.
Demetra, Administrative Assistant
Demetra has been with Right at Home NW Houston since 2015 where she began as a caregiver. She graduated from the University of Houston Downtown with a BBA in Accounting. Demetra assists the entire office team in performing a variety of office tasks. In addition, she helps with incoming caregiver and client calls. Her knowledge of caregiving and her experience with the Right at Home process is very valuable.
“It has been such a warming experience to meet different clients and help them in their daily routines. I know all too well of what it is like to take care of loved ones. It’s rewarding when you have made it a little easier for family to receive respite.”
Demetra loves that Right at Home NW Houston helps keep clients in their homes to live as independently as possible. “I have worked with so many clients and have come to realize how important to clients it is to gracefully age in the comfort of their own home.”
Demetra loves spending time with her husband and family. In her spare time, she likes to paint, decorate, and do gardening.
Marcy, Sales Consultant
Marcy joined the Right at Home team in 2019. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s in Science. All of her career she has been in sales. The last 12 years as a Business Consultant for small businesses. Most recently she changed to the healthcare industry to work with Hospice. Marcy shared “the faith-based Mission of Right at Home NW Houston was a huge factor in choosing to work for Right at Home NW Houston”.
Some of the responsibilities Marcy contributes to our office include marketing to healthcare communities, facilities, physicians, home health and hospices the benefits of Right at Home NW Houston services. She works to create a partnership with these companies to be a resource for their patients. Marcy is a community resource to educate and help the senior community.
What does Marcy like about Right at Home NW Houston? “I like being able to make a difference in a family’s life by providing extra care for their loved one and giving the family member a little relief from being the sole caregiver. With help from Right at Home, a client can stay in their home longer which is the best place for them to be.
In her spare time, she loves traveling to unique places, going on cruises, being on a beach or anywhere tropical. Her and her husband have been married for 25 years and have one daughter who is also a graduate of Texas Tech University. (Wreck’em Tech)!
