Recognizing Our Wonderful Right at Home Caregivers

Announcing April 2019's ...

Please join us in congratulating our April 2019 Caregiver of the Month, Dahkia Ellison!

Dahkia always leaves a lasting impression on every client for whom she provides care. For the past few years, she has been the primary caregiver for a husband and wife, spending forty hours a week with this family. When the wife passed away several months ago, Dahkia became the husband’s sole caregiver. As is common in our industry, the husband’s health began to decline this spring and sadly he passed away in April.

Through her dedicated and compassionate care for this couple, Dahkia gained not only experience with end of life care, but also became like family to this couple and their adult children. The family described Dahkia as especially thoughtful and valuable to them during this time in their life and throughout the last two years. Dahkia took special measures to ensure her client’s comfort in his final weeks and spent extra time pureeing his food and providing friendly companionship.

With her other clients, Dahkia puts her knowledge and expertise to good use to provide the gold standard of care. In addition, as a Managing Caregiver she has trained several fellow caregivers throughout her years with Right at Home. Dahkia, a huge thank you for improving the quality of life for our clients and for being an outstanding caregiver.

As a reward for earning the Caregiver of the Month award, Dahkia will receive a $100 bonus, be given Right at Home apparel, have her name engraved on the Caregiver of the Month plaque in our office, and receive company-wide recognition.

Please join us in congratulating Shanetha Pollard, our April 2019 Team Player of the Month!

Shanetha is one of our long-serving caregivers just weeks away from her three year anniversary with Right at Home. During the month of April, she delivered the gold standard of care to four clients.

Shanetha is a valuable overnight caregiver who focuses on making sure her client’s safety is her number one priority throughout her shifts. The spouse of one her client’s defines Shanetha as compassionate and caring, saying she doesn’t treat her work as a “job, but as a friendship!” Shanetha’s genuine care and good nature is what makes her a great caregiver. Her flexible schedule allows her to care for multiple clients and she always covers additional shifts when she is available.

Shanetha never misses a clock in or out and provides the office with any and all updates on her clients’ conditions. Shanetha, thank you for upholding the gold standard of care and being part of our culture of excellence!

As a reward for earning the Team Player of the Month award, Shanetha will receive a $50 bonus and company-wide recognition.

We would also like to congratulate our April 2019 All-Stars, who will be awarded a $20 gift card to Meijer and receive company-wide recognition. Right at Home All-Stars are selected based on several factors, including excellence in regularly clocking in and out on time, not calling off shifts, and providing great care to clients. Total hours worked for the month and a willingness to cover shifts and be a team player are also considered.

We are the Right People, Doing the Right Things, the Right Way, for the Right Reason

During my recovery from foot surgery, I had the BEST care takers who took care of both my Mom and I. Each person has their special talent and way of making us feel comfortable. If the need should ever arise, I will feel comfortable knowing Mom will get the wonderful care this company provides.
