Home Health Aide, CNA

Essential Functions

Performs personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living. Including, but are not limited to:

  • Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair)
  • Ambulation and transfers – safe use of walker, wheelchair, gait belt, sit-to-stand and Hoyer lift
  • Feeding
  • Dressing
  • Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
  • Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
  • Measuring and preparing special diets
  • Communicating with the team to insure quality care
  • Taking vital signs and monitoring for change of condition


  • High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
  • Valid driver’s license or state issued ID
  • Current Certified Nurse Aid license
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
  • Prior work and life experience that demonstrates dependability and capability
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
  • Dependable transportation for the job
  • Current CPR Certificate is recommended
