Speaker at Mayor's Prayer Breakfast

We recently attended the Annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast was held at the Cypress Community Center and hosted by Mayor Stacy Berry on October, 9. The mission of this event is to bring community leaders together for prayer and to recognize government officials and volunteers for all of their work. Our Right at Home office was recognized earlier this year as the 2019 Agent Business of the Year in the City of Cypress. Many churches from Cypress were present along with some of the many residents of Cypress that match the mayor’s theme for 2019: A Heart for Service. The purpose of this event is to simply gather cypress citizens together to pray for different causes.

After hearing from all of the inspirational speakers, we took the time to chat with the next generation of leaders in our community.

The event provided an opportunity for us to meet some of the incredible people that dedicate their lives to helping others in our community. One of our biggest takeaways from the morning, was from Win Crowley. As she puts it, “if you’re not dead—you’re not done.” We agree. You’re never too old to help others.
