In-Service Recipe Exchange Brings Caregivers Together
At Right at Home Northwest, we know that caregiving is about more than just providing assistance - it's about building meaningful connections. This quarter, we're celebrating one of the most heartfelt ways our caregivers bond with their clients: through food!
As part of our ongoing in-service training, we've launched a special recipe exchange where caregivers come together to share the meals they prepare for and with their clients. This initiative not only strengthens our team but also help us discover new, delicious ways to bring comfort and nutrition to the seniors we serve.
In our most recent session, led by our Supervisor of Direct Care Services, Jan Higman, we focused on a classic favorite - the breakfast casserole. Caregivers learned how to prepare this simple yet nutritious dish, perfect for starting the day with warmth and energy. By sharing cooking techniques, ingredient substitutions, and personal stories, our team gained valuable insights into making mealtime both enjoyable and nourishing for our clients.
Beyond the recipes, these gatherings reinforce our shared commitment to providing compassionate, personalized care. Cooking isn't about food - it's about creating moments of joy, fostering independence, and ensuring that each meal is served with a touch of home.
We're excited to continue this series and look forward to discovering more recipes that bring smiles to the seniors we support.
