Meet the Orlando Home Care Team
Nikki Magyar, Owner
Born and raised in Florida I graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Having lived in the Orlando area for over 15 years, I am completely devoted to this community and am inspired by the growth I have seen in the last decade. As I look towards my future, I want to invest my efforts in building a legacy that outlasts my lifetime and supports this community.
I have always had a heart for the elderly and disabled, and now know why I was given this passion. Within my family, those who need assistance to stay home were able to thanks to the loving care of qualified healthcare professionals. Those experiences and memories have steered me towards opening a Right at Home in Orlando.
As I assist your loved one, the golden rule of treating and respecting others as I would like is a core value. Keeping loved ones in their homes, independent, and involved with friends and family is an irreplaceable sense of accomplishment and happiness I seek to provide for every family. I believe the people we serve are valuable and deserve the highest level of respect, love, and attention.
Adam Magyar, Owner
Originally from just outside Toronto, Canada I earned a Business degree at the University of Guelph. When the chance came I jumped at the opportunity to move south to advance my career and for perpetual summers. Orlando has become the place I call home and I could not imagine a better place to raise my family.
Helping our seniors age in place is something that I feel very passionate about. Having watched my great grandmother age at home until the age of 101 I saw the impact first hand. The importance of having a familiar home and support system around them makes for a much more of a positive impact on their longevity.
After deciding to leave my corporate job, I knew that I wanted to find a way to better help the people in our community. Aging at home is something that I personally want for my loved ones and having the opportunity to help our community age at home was a good fit.
Kim George, Office Manager
My love of working with the elderly started from childhood. I had many more elderly friends than I did friends my own age. I enjoyed visiting, helping and learning from them. As a teenager I started to volunteer for a Nursing Home where I volunteered for more than 4 years. Originally from Massachusetts, I moved to Florida over 20 years ago where I entered the medical field. First becoming a CNA and working hands on with the elderly for 10 years. Most of those within Hospice.
After working as a CNA for 10 years I decided it was time to further my career within Hospice and worked my way up to a Supervisor of Scheduling overseeing over 200 RN's, LPN's and CNA's.
I now have the privilege of working with Right at Home Orlando as the Office Manager where i have been able to share my knowledge and experience as well as continuing to learn and grow. I love working closely with caregivers, the clients and also being able to occasionally get back into the field to be able to assist the elderly directly.
Shannon Buckner, Staffing Coordinator
While growing up in Joliet, IL, I started helping different teachers during the summers at the school I attended. Eventually, the principal ran out of things for me to do and I started to help the Sisters in the convent as well. This led to helping my Grandparents out as well.
When I was 18, I started working as a CNA in Illinois, working both in nursing homes and home care. I truly enjoyed my job, even the difficult clients. After 10 years, I started working as a scheduler for both private home care and nursing home staff relief shifts.
After being a Stay-At-Home Mom for many years, I enrolled in college and received my bachelor degree in Healthcare Administration, and went back to work for a home care agency. After moving to Florida in 2016, I am still working in long-term care, helping our clients here at Right At Home by providing the needed assistance to our clients.
Valeria Mility, Client Care Manager
My passion for the elderly primarily began with the years I lived with my grandmother as a young girl. My grandmother would take me to church, where we were constantly around the elderly.
However, it was those frequent trips to the nursing home that gave me that spark! Bringing fruits and singing songs to the elderly, allowed me to reflect on the fact that they once had independent lives, but are just now in need of some assistance. I have always enjoyed providing service to others, but the elderly has stolen my heart!
I have always worked in service-oriented occupations that promoted self-sufficiency. Being able to coordinate services for clients at Right at Home, allows me to live out my childhood memories by having a daily opportunity to make a difference in the life of the elderly. I look forward to growing and building relationships with Right at Home!
