Judy and Bruce Gropper

Bruce and Judy Gropper

Right at Home Palm Beach is owned and operated by Bruce and Judy Gropper. Bruce graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in General Studies after attending Roslyn High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Judy. Judy is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Fashion Merchandising.

Before starting Right at Home Palm Beach and Right at Home Palm Beach Gardens, Bruce worked on Wall Street, bringing 25+ years of management and executive experience to the company. Bruce’s experience has given him the ability to identify and fulfill customer and client needs. When he’s not a businessman, he’s a family man. As he watched his kids, Ali and Josh, grow up Bruce remained active in their lives. Before they went off to college, Bruce coached for the Miracle League of Westchester for 7 years, cheering on his kids.

Bruce and Judy are also proud sponsors of the Free Wheelchair Mission, a non-profit organization that provides free wheelchairs to disabled people in over 93 developing countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Romania, Ukraine, Eurasia, Latin America, Africa, and many more. With their business intelligence, community contacts, and desire to be good Samaritans, Bruce and Judy are enthusiastic in their efforts to provide first-class care to seniors and families in need.

Bruce and Judy’s main inspiration for starting Right at Home Palm Beach is plain and simple: family. From coaching their kid's little league games to family trips, Bruce and Judy understand the importance of spending time with family. They understand first-hand the struggles and difficulties every family faces when taking care of a loved one. Judy's grandfather suffered from Alzheimer's for many years. He was a well-respected leader and philanthropist who cared for his community. Bruce and Judy witnessed first-hand a loved one turning from a kind and loving person to someone they could barely recognize.It was through this occurrence that they observed a real-life testimony to the rewards excellent home care can bring to a family. This experience coupled with their family-based values has forged a business that pledges to be devoted, present and committed to your family's needs.

Andrea Mack

Director of Client Services

Andrea Mack is a highly experienced and respected nurse and caregiver. After graduating from University of Miami with a degree in Elementary Education, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. Andrea's experience and passion caring for the elderly has made her a great Director of Client Services.

As our Director of Client Services, Andrea manages orientation, education, supervision and evaluation processes for all our caregivers and nursing supervisors. She ensures that all documentation related to caregiver performance is recorded in our management system.

For our clients, Andrea takes the time to listen and get to know their personality and needs by building a close relationship with them and their loved ones to pair our clients with the perfect caregiver. She maintains ongoing communication with our clients and any professionals involved to make sure we exceed their expectations.

Andrea understands the struggle that families experience when finding the right care for their loved one. Through her experience finding care for her grandmother, who suffered from cancer and diabetes, she saw first hand the lack of care that was provided. She observed how the lack of communication, poor staff training, and negligent management, effected the level of care that seniors received.

It’s through this experience that she strived to ensure that each family we serve gets a caregiver who will provide exceptional care. Andrea only hires caregivers exemplify our mission: “To improve the quality of life for those we serve.”

Kaydeen Shand

Care Coordinator, CNA

Kaydeen Shand is a new addition to our growing office team. After recognizing her extraordinary talents as a caregiver, we decided to bring her in to help guide and coordinate other caregivers. While majoring in Nursing at Florida A&M University, Kaydeen became a Certified Nursing Assistant to develop a deeper understanding for caring for others.

As our Care Coordinator, Kaydeen helps bridge the communication between our office, caregivers, and our clients.

This ensures that there is transparency in the care provided. In addition, she conducts regular client visits to see to it that the RightCare is being implemented. This means that our caregivers arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to take the RightApproach to caring for your loved one.

Karen E. Schatten


Karen has worked with Right at Home Palm Beach since 2015 as our Administrator. Karen graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. With over 11 years of experience in the health care industry, she has gained significant supervisory and administrative experience in home health care.

Along with her services at Right at Home Palm Beach, Karen work as a consultant with Alliance Consulting Services of Florida, Inc. At Right at Home Palm Beach, Karen provides administrative guidance and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements to ensure a high level of service to our clients.

Margaret M. Farley, Registered Nurse

Margaret has been in the healthcare industry for over 40 years and has worked with Right at Home Palm Beach since its inception. With her extensive knowledge in regulatory compliance and operations, combined with her years of experience, Margaret serves as our Agency Registered Nurse. She began her career as a Medical-Surgical Nurse at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and later became a Cardiac Intensive Care Nurse. She was promoted to Critical Care Supervisor, a position she held at both St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center and Manchester Memorial Hospital. At Right at Home Palm Beach, Margaret provides oversight of the assignment of our caregivers and ensures regulatory compliance.
