In honor of Veterans Day, we gathered at Decatur Medical Lodge for a special breakfast dedicated to our local veterans. It was an inspiring morning, filled with camaraderie, warm smiles, and gratitude as we celebrated those who have served our country.
Our team takes immense pride in participating in events like these, where we can give back and connect with the veterans who have sacrificed so much for us. Moments like this strengthen our commitment to supporting our community, honoring the legacy of our veterans, and ensuring their contributions are always remembered.

Honoring Heroes on Veterans Day
This Veterans Day, we had the privilege of joining the Veterans Day Breakfast at Bridgeport Medical Lodge, where we connected with the veteran community, sharing stories and expressing our deep appreciation for their service. The event was filled with heartfelt conversations, delicious food, and a sense of unity.

A Fulfilling Parkinson's Moving Day
This year's Parkinson's Moving Day Event was an inspiring and heartwarming experience. These events, organized by the Parkinson’s Foundation, bring together communities to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson's disease research and support services. Participants engage in a variety of physical activities, such as walks, yoga sessions, and dance classes, symbolizing the importance of movement for those affected by Parkinson's. The event was filled with energy and camaraderie, as people of all ages came together to support a common cause. It was an opportunity to connect with others, share stories, and celebrate the strength and resilience of the Parkinson's community. Overall, this year's event was a day of empowerment, hope, and unity.
Decatur's Trunk or Treat Gathering
Decatur Medical Lodge recently held a fun-filled Trunk or Treat event that was a big hit with both residents and the local community! The day was packed with activities, starting with a spectacular Beetlejuice-themed float that set the perfect spooky tone for the event. Guests enjoyed train rides, pony encounters, and a wide variety of games that kept everyone entertained.
Hotdogs were served to hungry participants, and a skilled balloon artist delighted the crowd with creative balloon animals and designs. Vendors joined in the festivities, passing out candy to all the trick-or-treaters, while residents and their families also took part by sharing candy with the children, adding a special touch to the event.
This community celebration was a wonderful way to bring people together for Halloween fun, making it a memorable day for everyone involved. From the games to the pony rides, there was something for everyone at Decatur Medical Lodge’s Trunk or Treat event!
Longmeadow's Fall Festival Fun!
The Longmeadow Fall Festival, held on October 17th, was a lively and joyful celebration for residents, staff, and their families. The event was packed with a variety of activities that brought everyone together in the true spirit of autumn. Guests enjoyed an array of food, snacks, and refreshments, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights was the ‘Witches Brew’ chili cook-off, judged by Justin City Manager, Jarrod Greenwood, where contestants competed for first, second, and third-place prizes.
Another fan-favorite was the pumpkin painting contest, which saw participants of all ages showcasing their creativity, with prizes awarded for the best pumpkin designs. In addition to the contests, the festival featured engaging activities like face painting, vendor booths, and games, all of which added to the festive, fun-filled day.
The Fall Festival was a memorable occasion, bringing together the Longmeadow community for a day of laughter, friendly competition, and celebration of the autumn season.
Bridgeport's Trunk or Treat Delights
Bridgeport Medical Lodge recently hosted an exciting Trunk or Treat event that delighted both residents and the local community! Guests enjoyed wonderfully spooky atmosphere with a variety of fund and engaging activities.
Local vendors participated in the fun by distributing candy to the trick-or-treaters, while residents and their families also joined in, sharing candy with the children and adding a special touch to the event.
This Halloween celebration was a fantastic way to unite the community for some spooky fun, making it a memorable day for all who attended. From games to candy to smiles, Bridgeport Medical Lodge’s Trunk or Treat was a stunning success!
Senior Expo Delivers Ballet & Bingo!
The Wise Seniors Health & Safety Expo. It was a great opportunity to connect with seniors, caregivers, and local community members while sharing valuable resources. This expo featured health screenings, flu shots, food trucks, and a variety of vendors, including us from Right at Home. The event was geared towards providing important resources for seniors while also offering some fun activities like bingo, ballet folklorico performances, and a raffle. All proceeds benefited the WCCA/Meals on Wheels Wise County program.
Celebrating Our Treasured Veterans
We had an incredible time at the Annual Veterans Picnic held at the Wise County Fairgrounds in Decatur, TX. It was a true honor to reconnect with so many familiar faces, express our gratitude, and offer our support to the veterans in our community. The day was filled with exciting activities, including raffles, door prizes, a silent auction, delicious food, and the joy of being surrounded by great company. We were especially proud to be recognized as the 2024 Annual Veterans Picnic & Membership Drive Gold Sponsor.

Right at Home Rhome proudly sponsored the local Walk to End Alzheimer’s event, where our team came together to raise awareness and support for Alzheimer’s research. With a vibrant booth filled with information, giveaways, and activities, our team enjoyed interacting with participants and sharing Right at Home's commitment to the community and to this important cause. The day was full of smiles, selfies, and team spirit as we participated in the walk and enjoyed the energy of the event. We’re honored to have been part of such a meaningful community effort to fight Alzheimer’s.
Right at Home Rhome offers comprehensive in-home care services including Cognitive Care for a variety of challenges as seniors age. Our caregivers are trained specifically in this care, along with many other caregiving circumstances.
Caregiving Covered All Over Texas!
This year's Texas Guardianship Association (TGA) Annual Meeting was held in San Antonio. The conference was a great success with participation from Right at Home Rhome's team and a variety of Right at Home offices in Texas, including owners from Houston and Tyler.
We had the opportunity to meet some amazing people and connect with potential new clients. It was a fantastic representation of all our Texas offices coming together to support the Greater Texas communities.
Springtown Wild West Festival
Right at Home Rhome's Team attended the Springtown Wild West Festival this year. It was the 40th annual event held at the Historic Springtown Square, featuring live music, arts and crafts, food trucks, a children’s area, BBQ cook-off, and a parade. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community and share more about who we are and what we offer to seniors and adults with disabilities in the community.
We had a great time engaging with festival-goers and spreading the word about our services. The event was a perfect mix of fun, local culture, and history, and we’re excited to be part of this helpful and fun event.
Bridgeport Drive-Thru Breakfast
The “Rise & Shine” event on August 13 was a heartfelt gesture of gratitude, where Bridgeport Medical Lodge, Bridgeport Police Department, and local healthcare companies came together to host a Drive-Thru Breakfast for the dedicated teachers and staff of Bridgeport ISD. This event was a special way to say thank you for their hard work and commitment to education.

Connecting With Seniors Thru Bingo
We had a fantastic time at Governors Ridge! Our team enjoyed calling bingo with the residents, creating lots of excitement and fun. The smiles and laughter were truly heartwarming. Afterwards, Maygan from Renew brought the residents delicious ice cream floats, and we were thrilled to help her serve them. It was a perfect way to cool down and share more joyful moments together.

Portrait Photo Fun for Seniors!
Right at Home Rhome was excited to be at Governor's Ridge Assisted Living community in Decatur for an enjoyable day of fun and funny portrait photos. The community's activities director Laura Upchurch was wonderful to have us come out. The seniors really enjoyed it and had a blast with some silly photos. Thank you to everyone who worked to make this a 'hoot' for residents and caregivers!
Picture Day Rocks at Longmeadow
Right at Home Rhome recently visited the Longmeadow Assisted Living community in Justin, Texas. We worked with Casey at Longmeadow to have a Picture Day. She helped make sure everything ran smoothly as we had a great day taking photos of residents. We also got to take photos for a sweet resident who was fixing to move, having to leave her best friend. Everyone wanted to be apart of the photo day and enjoyed every minute! Thank you to everyone involved who helped make this a fun and smooth event.
A Good Cause And A Great Time!
Right at Home Rhome and all of its office and team members are proud to support the Wise County Meals on Wheels program. The annual gala is an auction fundraising event with all of the 'bells and whistles' that come with a gala. Food, drink, entertainment, and a live auction. The gala was a celebration of the great works that Meals on Wheels does all year long. All proceeds help support the Wise County Meals on Wheels program.
