Albano Mahilaj

Owner

My wife and I have always had a connection with our parents and grandparents. To this date we take care of both our parents in many different aspects. Mostly, we have cared for my mother after her several hospitalizations. In addition we are parents of an autistic boy and will likely always care for him. Being part of the home care industry, to us, is more than a business; it is giving back to those who need someone by their side at all times.

Albano is a Doctorate Candidate- Business Administration Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor's in Finance. He worked for a local hospital system for several years, and after that, ran a cleaning business for four years. Before getting into Right at Home he worked as real estate project manager for government project along with being a realtor.

He has lived in the Rocky River area for over 15 years and is well-acquainted with the locals. He also understands the different makeups of the community and its diversity. He's grateful to be able to serve seniors and those who need in home care assistance in Rocky River and the surrounding communities.

Director of Business Development

Antavia Short

My name is Antavia Short and I have over 16 years of experience in healthcare. I’ve had the opportunity to serve in various roles that have shaped my passion for seniors, and resident centered care. From working as a Memory Care Program Director to leading in Business Office and Community Liaison roles, I’ve developed a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to provide exceptional support to both residents and their families. This has allowed me to effectively bridge the gap between our communities and the families we serve, ensuring clear communication and a seamless experience from start to finish.

I’m deeply passionate about building genuine, trusting relationships with residents, families, and the wider community. I take pride in enhancing the quality of life for each individual we serve while developing thoughtful marketing strategies that showcase the heart and mission of our care. Meeting new residents firsthand and guiding them through their care journey is where I find the greatest fulfillment.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I’ve spent the past decade in Florida and am now excited to be back, serving my community and growing with Right at Home as their Business Development Manager. Outside of work, I’m a proud mother of four, three daughters and one son, who keep me inspired, motivated, and grounded every day.
