Memory Café

A memory café is a welcoming place for people with forgetfulness or other changes in their thinking and for their family and friends. Our Memory Café is done virtually so everyone near or far has the ability to enjoy the program. All cafes share one goal: to help you feel comfortable and to know that you are not alone. Cafes are a place to explore a different topic each month and maybe learn something new as well.

Memory Café - Duckboats!

We explore the history of these boats that many of us know as a tourist attraction, but they are responsible for helping the US and allies to shift the course of WWII. We will also look at some art from the Normandy region of France and listen to a classic Boston story about ducks.

Memory Café - Juneteenth

This time on the Memory Café we will be talking about Juneteenth. We explore the history, reminisce about picnic celebrations, look at a few pieces of celebratory Juneteenth art, and learn about some of the ways we can all participate in Juneteenth.
