Sloane and Jim Wendell, Owners

Sloane and Jim WendellSloane has been the Owner and Administrator of Right at Home San Antonio since December of 2017. As the Administrator, it is ultimately Sloane’s responsibility for maintaining our licensure with the State of Texas. In addition to creating roles and responsibilities for the Right at Home Team, she develops vision and strategizes how to stay the #1 Home Care Agency in the San Antonio area.

Sloane is a proud alumna of Texas A&M University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with a Minor in Biology. She also received her Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from West Texas A&M University and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She started her professional career in Environment Consulting which evolved into Program Management. Eventually, she began working in Afghanistan in Construction and Facilities Management and then spent about nine months in New Orleans where she worked on the BP oil spill. Sloane’s personal family experiences eventually led her to Right at Home and she hasn’t looked back!

Shortly after Sloane took over Right at Home San Antonio, her husband, Jim, came on board fulltime. Jim is the Chief Operating and Financial Officer for Right at Home where he oversees the day-to-day activities of the office staff, oversees IT, client billing, payroll and long-term care insurance. Like Sloane, Jim is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration. Prior to Right at Home, Jim taught middle school and worked at USAA.

Three years after meeting at Texas A&M University, Sloane and Jim got married 1999. In 2001, they welcomed their son, Dawson, who is following in his parent’s footsteps by currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree at Texas A&M University. In their free time, Sloane and Jim like to complete home and outdoor improvement projects, including nurturing 14 chickens and 9 sheep! Jim and Sloane enjoy the great outdoors by scuba diving and bay fishing. One of their favorite activities is traveling back to College Station to watch the Aggies play football. If you ever stop by the office, you might be lucky enough to meet one of their three dogs, Salty Bacon, who is a service animal as well as the official mascot of Right at Home San Antonio!

Kathryn Cook — HR Manager and Office Coordinator

Kathryn CookKathryn graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in December of 2019 where she received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Medicine. In January of 2020, she joined the Right at Home San Antonio team as HR Manager and Office Coordinator. As our HR Manager, Kathryn effectively screens and recruits new caregivers, ensures that all new hire and employment records are complete and up-to-date, and maintains an ongoing liaison between both clients and caregivers. Prior to working with Right at Home, Kathryn gained professional experience by working in the customer service industry for five years. In addition to customer service roles, Kathryn was also the Office Manager of a sensory deprivation spa for two years which is how she met Jim and Sloane.

When Kathryn was younger, her grandfather had a stroke and, while her whole family stepped in to help, they realized that they still needed extra in-home care. Because of this experience, Kathryn set out to become a physical therapist, but when Jim and Sloane told her about Right at Home, Kathryn knew that she needed to be a part of it. Kathryn enjoys working at Right at Home because she can ensure quality care is given to those in need and because of the fun office environment!

In her free time, Kathryn likes to travel to Houston, where she visits her giant family, her newest nephew, and her dog, Bear. She also enjoys playing video games with her boyfriend, especially when she wins. One of her favorite things to do is have game and wine nights with her best friends, who she met in her sorority, Alpha Sigma Alpha.


Allison Schoppe — Staffing Coordinator and Scheduler

Allison SchoppeIn May of 2020, Allison graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. She has been the Staffing Coordinator with Right at Home San Antonio since August of 2020. As our Scheduler, Allison coordinates the day-to-day activities of our caregivers and clients, receives company referrals and inquiries, and assists with payroll duties as needed. Prior to working with Right at Home, Allison gained professional experience by working with a financial firm where she scheduled client appointments and maintained client documentation. In addition to the financial firm, she has over five years of experience in the customer service industry and even coached a children’s soccer team for two years.

Allison feels drawn to the healthcare field because of her passion for helping others. She enjoys working for Right at Home because she is able to make a difference in people’s lives through her positive attitude, compassion, and caring spirit. Her organization skills, attention to detail and hospitality-driven attitude allows Allison to excel as our Staffing Coordinator.

In her free time, you can find Allison relaxing, playing with her dog, Ellie, or exploring San Antonio’s local dives. She loves to travel to National Parks across the United States and has even been to England, Germany, and Scotland. Allison is also very musically inclined and can play the acoustic guitar, piano, viola, and electric bass!


Pablo Campos, LVN — Care Coordinator

Pablo Campos, LVN and Care CoordinatorPablo has been a Licensed Vocational Nurse since he graduated from the Galen College of Nursing in 2014. He is currently pursuing an Associate Degree in Nursing to achieve his goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. Pablo loves to work with the geriatric community because he enjoys listening to their stories and can learn from their life experiences. One of the concepts he finds most interesting is the aging process and tackling how to live life as we get older. He began working with Right at Home San Antonio in January of 2021. As our Care Coordinator, Pablo oversees improving the quality of life for our clients by conducting supervisory and quality visits, as well as completing intakes, assessments, and admissions.

Pablo’s ultimate purpose in life is to give back to his community and utilize his problem-solving skills to better the world around him. He enjoys working for Right at Home because it allows him to help our clients and caregivers achieve their goals. With the ability to make a strong personal connection to each of our clients, Pablo is able to succeed in improving the quality of life in those we serve.

In his free time, Pablo enjoys visiting with his parents and reading books that will assist his long-term career. His ideal music playlist is filled with Spanish rock, soft rock, and 80’s music. On the weekend, you can find him watching action movies, or the occasional rom com, or even unwinding by watching soccer or boxing on TV.


Abby Sadler — Patient & Community Liaison

Abby Sadler Patient and Community LiaisonAs our Patient and Community Liaison, Abby plays a vital role for the company by establishing new sales opportunities, nurturing genuine relationships with clients, and communicating information with referral sources. Abby’s favorite thing about her role is getting to meet new people, hear their stories and being able to connect with them on a deeper, more personal level. Her extensive customer service-based background allows her to flawlessly multitask while ensuring that both our clients and caregivers are happy. Abby graduated from Sam Houston State University in May of 2021 with her Bachelor of Psychology degree and will soon be pursing her Master’s Degree in Psychology and wishes to become a Counselor or a Registered Nurse.

For Abby, caring for others is second nature. Her upbeat demeanor, open mind, and kind heart allow others to feel at ease with her and as if they can confide in her. Not only does she have a comforting effect on people, but she also deeply cares for animals and has been a highly involved volunteer at the Animal Defense League for over ten years.

In her free time, Abby enjoys hanging out with her family, walking her sweet dog, Duke, and playing golf with her friends. She has a strong love for tennis, singing, and playing the piano, which she’s been doing since she was 11 years old. As a San Antonio native, Abby is very active and involved in community events and happenings so you may see her around town!
