Carol Gonzalez-Sheak, Owner
With a true passion for helping others and an extensive background in healthcare, Carol Gonzalez-Sheak is pleased to bring a trust name in senior home care back to the city of San Jose.
Before entering the corporate world, Carol’s focus was on furthering her education. This led her to obtain a B.A. in human biology from Stanford University, an M.A. in experimental psychology from Emory University, and a Ph.D. in biopsychology from the University of Georgia.
Carol pursued a business career in the healthcare products industry for more than 25 years, working with medical device companies. She also ventured into consumer marketing as a market research manager with Franklin Covey; her role transitioned to an account manager for its subsidiary. In 2001, Carol resumed her healthcare career in the pharmaceutical industry working in director and associate director positions in business development and market research at NPS Pharmaceuticals, and Merck & Co., respectively.
In 2009, Carol decided to pursue consulting and relocated from New Jersey to the San Francisco Bay Area to be closer to family. She also met her husband Richard after moving here!
Carol’s involvement with many organizations within the health industry helped her identify a life goal of owning a business. Prior to making the decision to join Right at Home, Carol was an independent contractor and a business consultant for a few startups, most notably as a founding committee member of the mentoring program at the Bay Area chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA).
Carol entered the senior care profession because of a desire to make a difference in the lives of others. With the passion to provide care to those in need, and with appreciation of Right at Home’s goals and values, Carol is devoted to her clients and works closely with her neighboring Right at Home offices to improve quality of life for those she serves.

Addie Sahbaee - Staffing and Scheduling Supervisor
I have been with Right at Home San Jose for 2 years now, but I have worked with seniors all my life. I have always enjoyed hearing their stories and finding small ways to make them smile. I teach a Bible Study to ladies ranging from age 70 – 90, and they bring me so much joy. After spending many years working as a Software Engineer, I became a stay-at-home mom to see my ADHD son through high school. My son developed his first of many blood clots at the age of 14 and my mother-in-law had a major stroke. Once my son moved to Oregon and my daughter went to college in Washington DC, I went back to school and earned my Associate Degree in Medical Assisting. I wanted to do something more meaningful, more personal. I worked as a Medical Assistant for 4 years in a private office where my greatest accomplishment was to hear the patients say, “You make it fun to come to the doctor’s office.” When that office downsized, a friend told me about Right at Home. I love working the scheduling puzzle – matching the right caregiver with the right client, and ensuring emergency cancellations are covered. Doing Billing, hiring and training is good too, but my passion is serving the needs of the clients. No greater reward.
Danielle Box - Staffing Coordinator
I have worked with Right at Home San Jose as a Staffing Coordinator since January 2018. I help set up the schedule for clients and caregivers, making sure care is always covered and taken care of. I enjoy working with Right at Home and in the home care field because I feel what I do makes a difference and it matters. I genuinely like helping others and at Right at Home we strive on giving our clients the best care. We support our clients, their families and our caregivers. I have lived in the Bay Area my entire life, Milpitas/San Jose Area. I am the youngest of 4 children. I am very family orientated and love spending time with my family, especially my nieces and nephew. Some of my hobbies include reading, traveling when I am able to, and watching movies. My favorite book series is A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. I love having a movie night, whether it be at home on the couch or at the theater. I am a Batman, Harry Potter, Disney and Jurassic Park fanatic. I enjoy collecting anything related to any one of those. I grew up with those characters and their films and books, they make me happy and let me dive back into some nice childhood memories and create new ones. It lets me relax and put my mind at ease.
