Honor Flight - One Last Mission
Honor Flight - One Last Mission with 98-year-old veteran Louise George and Lilia Anderson (June 7, 2015)
Lilia Anderson from Honor Flight and a Louise George, a WWII Veteran who is Honor Flight attendee came to visit Right at Home Senior Care Living on Sunday, June 7th to introduce us to Honor Flight. Honor Flight was created to transport our heroes on “One Last Mission” – a trip to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at the memorials built in their honor. This trip is free to the veteran, and made possible solely through individual donations and corporate support – NO Federal funds are allocated to this program. With the hard work and dedication of Honor Flight hubs throughout the U.S., and their communities, over 100,000 veterans have made this cathartic journey.
Thank you Louise for sharing your story and experiences with us. If you are interested in learning more about the Honor Flight and attending a fantastic fund raiser to bring Puget Sound veterans to Washington D.C. please contact Lilia Anderson at Merrill Gardens at 425-235-6400 or visit their website at www.pugetsoundhonorflight.org.
