Ben Solomon - Owner
Ben Solomon - Owner and Administrator
My role: It is my responsibility to make sure that Right at Home lives up to its mission of improving the lives of those we serve. At Right at Home we take pride in serving our clients who may be seniors, or adults with disabilities, and also their families and those who care for them. I have assembled a team of managers and senior care professionals who collaborate to support our care teams, community partners, clients and their families with the goal of providing the highest quality and timely care throughout King, Pierce, and South Snohomish Counties.
I opened the first Right at Home in Seattle in 2004 and have since expanded to Bellevue and Tacoma over the past thirteen years, serving thousands of our seniors and their families. We have been recognized as President Council Members in the Right at Home system for ten years, and have expanded our services from personal care and caregiving to skilled nursing, since 2007.
I am an active member of the Washington State Home Care Association and served on the board for three years. I have also served on the Pierce County Fall Prevention Coalition and host a weekly radio show on KIXI 880AM, Right at Home Senior Care Living, introducing our listeners to resources and professionals in the senior care community.
What motivates me: I take personal satisfaction in knowing that every day we help clients lead more fulfilling and rewarding lives, inspired by the quote from Adlai Stevenson: It is not the years in your life but the life in your years that count. I have never met a person who has a goal of living their golden years in a nursing home. I am dedicated to helping as many community members as possible live their lives under their terms.
Why I love my job: One family we worked with early on at Right at Home wished that we could help their father who recently had a stroke live long enough to see his youngest daughter walk down the aisle. Not only did this father live to see his daughter get married, but also lived to experience the joys of becoming a grandfather, trips to the family home on the San Juan Islands, and numerous celebrations with his family for many years.
Tina Solomon - Vice President
Tina Solomon - Vice President, Administration
My role: I am honored to oversee Right at Home’s Human Resources department and ensure that our policies are compliant with State and Federal law. I work closely with new employees around compliance issues and monitor that they stay current as relates to continuing education and other requirements. I collaborate with our Operations and Accounting teams regularly, and always enjoy working directly with care staff.
What Motivates Me: I especially enjoy the opportunity to work one-on-one with caregivers and nurses as they progress in their careers, starting from the moment they apply to work with Right at Home, to attending orientation, to seeing them thrive in their role directly helping members of our community. Hearing their stories and how much they enjoy working with Right at Home and helping to improve the lives of our clients motivates me every day. And it’s always great when they point out how organized and proactive our company is.
Why I love my job: I love to learn and grow, and every day at Right at Home presents a new opportunity to do so. Home care and home health is a complex industry and it’s an honor to collaborate with a great team to ensure that our care staff are well-prepared and ready to expertly assist clients.
Stacy Wood - Bookkeeper
Stacy Wood - Bookkeeper
My role: My goal is for the billing and payroll process to run smoothly and to provide excellent customer service when assistance is needed by clients or caregivers. I share tasks such as accounts payable/ receivable, billing and payroll. I primarily oversee billing and payments from our private pay customers, and ensure accuracy and timely billing. I also work with care staff on benefits and ensure that our agency is complying with federal and state requirements.
What motivates me: My cousin was hit by a car at the young age of 19. The result of the accident was Traumatic Brain Injury. He would need 24/7 in home care for the rest of his life. I am truly passionate about this industry because of my family’s experience. I am not the type of person that can care for an individual the way our nurses and caregivers do. They have a gift. But I can be a part of the bigger picture in the accounting department. Making sure our care staff and clients feel supported, being available and gaining trust over time. Money is hard to talk about sometimes, I’m here to make it easier if I can.
Why I love my job: I enjoy helping caregivers and client with questions about our payroll or billing processes and find it rewarding to bring clarity to something that may be confusing. I enjoy the detective work of looking up discrepancy and the gratification of reconciling statements and running reports. A clean balance sheet makes my day!

My role: I began my career path with Right at Home as the Office Administrator and then moved to Recruitment and Retention Coordinator. In my current role is Human Resources Coordinator, I am involved in all of our HR processes including interviews, orientations, background checks and compliance of employee files.
What motivates me: I have personally been a caregiver for many individuals and family members with various illnesses and diseases (Diabetes, Cancer, Traumatic Brain Injury, Alzheimer's, Stroke and Pulmonary Fibrosis). Caregiving and helping others has been a calling throughout my life.
Why I love my job: I look forward to going to work each day because we really have a great group of co-workers and employees. We work well together as a team to provide quality care for our clients and communities. It is so rewarding to see the enthusiasm from our caregivers and it is exciting to help them progress in their careers.
Hali Downs - Client Care
Hali Downs - Client Care Coordinator
My role: As a Client Care Coordinator my primary responsibility is to talk with potential clients and families whom are looking for assistance. I love to go out and do our free assessments as it gives me an idea on what the needs are of our potential client and which caregiver may be a good match. I also work with the Nursing team to schedule and match our nurses with clients.
What motivates me: I have been working in gerontology for the past nine years with a specialized focus in Alzheimer and Dementia care. I moved from Vancouver, Canada in December 2016 and found a home with the Right at Home team. I am motivated by the "Right Care" that we provide, as it is so personalized to the needs of clients and their families.
Why I love my job: I recently met with a client who was deemed high risk due to having dementia with aggressive behavior. Other agencies refused to work with them and the family members were overwhelmed. Being able to provide resources and writing a very specific care plan with detailed calming techniques and approaches have drastically changed this clients’ behavior. Visiting them weeks later and seeing a big smile on the client’s face has been so rewarding and affirming.
Anna Klikan - Client Care Coordinator
Anna Klikan - Client Care Coordinator
My role: As a Client Care Coordinator I have the privilege of meeting with each client prior to starting care; this meeting allows us to create an individualized plan of care which will communicate both the client's needs and preferences to their caregivers. After completing the plan of care, I assist in choosing a caregiver who is well matched for each client in both personality and ability. I also participate in supervisory visits for care staff, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
What motivates me: I was raised by a single father, and my paternal grandmother played a huge role in my childhood. When I was 11 my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and I had the privilege of being part of her care team throughout my teen years. The experience of caring for my grandmother and observing the expertise of others who cared for her left me with a heart that is passionate about caring for the vulnerable and the elderly. After high school, I pursued a degree in Psychology and Counseling, and I continue to be fascinated by the discovery of each person's needs, desires, and preferences.
Why I love my job: In this role I am able to get to know each of my clients personally, which I find very rewarding. I feel it is a privilege to be the one who creates a care plan for each individual; as this document serves as the foundation for the quality care we strive to provide. One of the things I love most about this role is hearing from clients that they feel their caregiver was handpicked for them, and that our services are improving their quality of life.
Matt Helbert - Director of Hursing
Matt Helbert - Director of Nursing
My role: As Right at Home’s Director of Nursing, I am responsible for ensuring that our nursing clients are provided with safe, reliable and quality nursing care. Whether it be speaking with a new client over the phone or conducting a home visit, I am passionate about providing solutions and expertise that will positively influence the quality of life for our clients. I also provide support to our Home Care clients when additional care needs arise.
What motivates me: I started my career in healthcare over twenty years ago as a combat medic and nurse in the U.S. Army. After a busy career, I retired as a Captain and have been privileged to continue serving my community in a variety of care settings. I firmly believe that nurses can make a lasting impact in the lives of those we are privileged to serve through advocacy and exceptional nursing care. I joined the Right at Home team in 2018 and am proud to stand by our values as we strive to deliver quality healthcare throughout the Puget Sound region.
Why I love my job: I am privileged to work with an amazingly talented group of colleagues at Right at Home. I also value the meaningful relationships we form with our clients. Recently, our team was able to assist a client with care needs that had been ongoing for several months. Due to the complexity of our modern health systems, the entire family was frustrated and at a loss for where to turn to next. Our nurses not only provided the client with the care he required but were also able to help coordinate follow up care to ensure peace of mind for his family and caregivers.

I am confident in the care we provide and find satisfaction that one day when I need care, Right at Home will be there at my home to take care of my needs and provide companionship.
Why I love my job: I am happy being able to support our team and clients. After many years of working in medical settings, I chose Right at Home to be the right place for me to work. What motivates me: I am so lucky to work in a position where I get to watch people progress in their careers. I remember how much of an impact my grandmother’s caregiver had on our entire family.
