Home Care Agency Director of Nursing


Right at Home is seeking a full-time Director of Nursing to lead our clinical team and take a leadership role in build our clinical programs and services. Based out of our office in Northgate our Director of Nursing will be managing and directing our skilled nursing programs and services throughout South Snohomish, King, and Pierce Counties.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the work of all agency skilled care providers including RNs, LPNs, in addition to CNAs performing Nurse Delegated Care and assure that all care is performed in accordance with agency policies and procedures and state licensing laws and regulations
  • Coordinates and participates in the development and revision of patient care policies for all Home Health/Skilled Nursing tasks, and that care staff is vetted and credentialed to provide licensed services including: IVIG/Infusion; Vent and Trach Care, Wound Care, and Bowel and Bladder Programs
  • Take leadership role in agency’s goal of obtaining non-Medicare Joint Commission Accreditation
  • Build relationships with referral partners that will enable agency to increase its skilled nursing business. Relationship development focused on partnering with complementary service providers including: Insurance Case Managers, VA Case Managers, Hospital Case Managers, In-Home Care providers, and Infusion Pharmacies

Qualifications – Knowledge Required:

  • Current RN License
  • Minimum 10 years related healthcare experience with a preference of 4 years of experience in in a home care setting and 2 years as a supervisor or manager
  • Nurse Liaison, Product Specialist and or Account Management experience with a medical services company a strong plus
  • Hands on experience working with vent, trach, and or infusion clients a plus
  • Experience or understanding of the regulatory components of home health care licensure as well as OSHA regulations
  • Solid hands-on experience in managing and training staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of management - Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams, executives and outside consultants
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Reliable transportation and valid car insurance
