We talked to Judy Kinney, Executive Director of NEST (Northeast Seattle Together) the first Virtual Village established in the Puget Sound. Judy shared with us the idea of the community as a support system allowing people to age in place in their home with support from volunteers who live in their neighborhood. We also spoke to, Mari Becker, Recreation Specialist with the Seattle Parks and Recreation and Ceclily Kaplan, of the Greenwood Senior Center. Mari shared with us the Momentia Movement, the idea of connecting people with dementia to others in their community through activities such as theatre improve classes, gardening, and Alzheimer Cafes.

Cecily shared with us the concept of the Café as a safe place of engagement and one she hosts in the Greenwood neighborhood.
