Respite Care: Relief for the Family Caregiver
When a loved one needs care, it’s natural for you to want to take on all of the responsibility. But, caring for your parent, sibling, spouse or other loved one is no small feat. Trying to manage their care while juggling the other responsibilities in your life can wear on you both physically and mentally. You know this, and so do we. That is why we offer respite care for you and your family.
At Right at Home, we believe family caregivers deserve time to rest and revive their spirits. Our respite care provides relief for family caregivers so they can step away to recharge and take time for self-care.
What Is Respite Care?
With respite care, Right at Home’s professionally trained and bonded/insured caregivers can step in and temporarily take over the care of your loved one, allowing you to grab coffee with a friend, catch a movie with your children, or take a much-needed nap. While away, you can rest assured that your loved one is being cared for with dignity and respect.
How Respite Care Works
When you call Right at Home, one of our respite care professionals will visit your home and provide you with a free assessment to determine your needs and the needs of your loved one. Right at Home’s professional caregivers are flexible and able to provide the special care your loved one needs. From a few hours a week to 24/7 care, our services focus on the mental and physical well-being of your loved one.
Respite care will:
- Follow your loved one’s care plan with services provided by a carefully matched Right at Home caregiver.
- Prevent the resentment that can develop due to the stress and strain involved in caring for a loved one.
- Improve the family caregiver’s health and happiness, so they can continue providing the best care for their loved one.
- Allow the family caregiver to feel revived and refocused when they return to caring for their loved one.
