Southwest Florida In Home Care Agency Promotes Healthy, Happy Workplace with Blue Zone Project

Blue Zones Project is a community-wide well-being improvement initiative to help make healthy choices easier for everyone in Southwest Florida.

Right at Home Southwest Florida became a Blue Zone recognized organization this year and owner Dr. Danielle Dyer uses the program to promote a healthy and happy workplace. Some activities include monthly massages and plans to add a garden in the back of her Bonita Springs office that will include a resting area, water feature, and bikes for her team to ride during breaks or to lunch.

As part of the initiative, they also conduct monthly educational Lunch & Learn programs with topics ranging from healthy eating to healthy finances. Instead of sitting down for weekly meetings, the Southwest Florida office does walking meetings and has been known to randomly have impromptu dance parties in the office.

When thinking about changes she's seen from incorporating Blue Zone, Dr. Dyer said "I have seen the morale go up and the stress levels go down, our team has shown great interest in improving their eating habits and overall lifestyles."
