Compassionate Care In Everything We Do
Every business is only as good as their people. Right at Home St. Charles is proud to have an unparalleled team of professionals in the office, and the most compassionate, highly-trained caregivers in the field. Our team's focus is on caring . . . caring for our clients, caring for our caregivers, and caring for our community. We live and breathe our mission each and every day, with the goal of helping our clients navigate their life journeys.
Kirsten Pahde | Owner
Kirsten learned early in life what it takes to run an organization. Her parents were entrepreneurs most of her life and involved Kirsten when she was still in her teens. Running her own business is in her blood. Like most individuals, Kirsten has had to juggle a full-time job, attend to the needs of her family, and help care for ailing grandparents. Kirsten’s research into owning a home care company quickly led her to understand that Right at Home was the franchise that checked all her boxes.
Today, Kirsten and her husband Bruce run the most awarded home care company in Missouri. Kirsten has always felt that the key ingredient to success is being more than an employer. The company focuses on training and coaching employees for success on the job, and offering support and kindness to employees in their personal lives outside of work. As a result, Right at Home St. Charles has received Home Care Pulse’s Employer of Choice Award six years in a row, Provider of Choice Award six years running, and the Leader in Excellence Award five years in a row — the only company in Missouri to achieve this feat more than twice. The Right at Home St. Charles team is also a multi-year Caring Star and Caring Super Star Award winner from Caring.com.
Kirsten supports charities such as St. Charles Walk to End Alzheimer’s, The Child Center Inc., The Kaufman Fund and Free Wheelchair Mission.
Kirsten’s time away from work is spent with family and friends. She loves playing cards and board games with Bruce and her kids, Billy, Andrew, and Jenna. She also loves walking her dogs, cycling, hiking, and yoga. She believes the answer to a long happy life is good nutrition, exercise and laughter.
Bruce Pahde | Administrator
Bruce Pahde has an undergraduate degree in Sociology and after earning a master’s degree in Legal Studies, he joined the Consumer Protection Division of the Illinois Attorney General’s office. Taking a left turn at Albuquerque, he was a Guardianship Coordinator for The Arc of New Mexico, advocating for people with developmental disabilities. Back in the Midwest, Bruce then spent some time in the private sector, working as a real estate paralegal for a pair of St Louis Fortune 500 companies, however returning to a helping profession was always his goal.
Bruce has been involved with Right at Home St Charles since its inception, handling paperwork, legwork and some heavy lifting before the doors were open. There are few functions within Right at Home that he has not done. He's done staffing & scheduling, hiring and HR, and even worked a caregiver shift here and there. As Assistant Manager, his job is more or less as it sounds, handling day to day administrative tasks and bigger projects as they arise. Bruce likes to think of his role with Right at Home as helping keep the freight train rolling.
Crystal Curry | Nurse Case Manager
Crystal has been in the nursing field since 1997. Her medical experience started in a nursing home, then moved to assisted living. Her career path shifted to pediatric home health and finally landed working with adults in home care. She has been with Right at Home in Home Care and Assistance since 2015. Crystal also makes it her business to get to know all the caregivers so she can play matchmaker when finding the perfect fit for her clients.
Crystal is very creative and inventive! She organizes and puts together all of the office's gifts, the annual back to school supply events, and other happenings at Right at Home. She is always on the lookout for money saving ideas for the office, the Care Team, and our clients. The office team knows her as the prankster of the group, and she is known for making others laugh.
When she isn’t working, chances are she is spending time with her kids — eight with triplets in the bunch!
