St Charles Park District Adult Activity Center and Right at Home's "CARING FOR THE CAREGIVER" seminar was a big hit again! The comments that came back from the participants were stellar and humbling! Some shared tears, some shared some of their challenges, but most of all they shared their gratitude to the speakers for the much needed information, education, and sincere caring they felt from the speakers as the presented their topics.
The Speakers and Topics were:
- Denise Brown, National Renowned Author on Caregiving, and Facilitator of the Caregiving.com web-site talked about "The Caregiving Years, Six Stages of a Meaningful Journey" which was a very informative summary of one of her books.
- Marcia Kravetz, Director Of Nursing for Silverado Memory Care in St Charles, IL. gave a wonderful and interactive presentation on "Avoiding Caregiver Stress"
- And last but not least Jean Liamas Founder of Care Navigators, and Care Guardians shared great information on the importance of "Caregiver Planning" which covered numerous medical and legal topics a Caregiver needs to avoid surprises while caring for a loved one.
We'd like to Thank Lynne Yuill the Director of the St Charles Park District's Adult Activity Center, for her caring heart, and joyous energy, that she puts into planning wonderful events and activities for the St Charles Senior Community
Thanks for taking care of our Seniors Lynne!
