The Brewer’s represent Right at Home in many local volunteer organizations as a means of giving back to the communities in which they service.
Their commitment to the Winston-Salem community is evident through their involvement in programs like the Parkinson’s Foundation’s “Moving Day,” the Reynolda Rotary Club of Winston-Salem, the Shepherd’s Center, SECU Family House, and Clemmons Community Foundation. Their office proudly supports scholarships at Wake Forest University for football and other sports. In addition, Greg is a football mentor. Greg and Jackie also sponsor an internship program through Winston-Salem State University.
“Our mission is to improve the lives of those we serve,” said Greg. “We do that with our clients every day, and we are able to do even more by working with other amazing organizations that share the same mission.”
As Chairman of the Clemmons Community Foundation, Greg had the honor of presenting scholarships to deserving students at West Forsyth High School. It was also a special day to recognize dedicated teachers for all of their hard work!
We had the privilege of speaking with veterans about the home care benefit that is available to them through the VA. It was our honor to be in a room with so many individuals that have served our country!
Thank you, Don Timmons and Trellis Supportive Care for coordinating this monthly event for our veterans.
Last week we celebrated our wonderful nurse Catherine Ward! She works so hard to provide the best care for our clients. We appreciate Cathy and all nurses as we raise awareness of the important role nurses play in society.
National Nurses Week is a time for everyone to recognize the vast contributions and positive impact of America’s 4 million registered nurses. Each year, the celebration ends on May 12, Florence Nightingale's birthday. We hope you had the opportunity to thank a nurse.
We were out in the community at the Frank Morgan Elementary Career Fair! WXII television news, Briana Conner, stopped by our table to hear our message on how we are supporting Parkinson's disease and the Winston-Salem, NC: Moving Day®, a Walk for Parkinson's.
We are very proud of our involvement in the community. Pictured is Gregory Brewer at the Shepherd's Center of Winston-Salem luncheon honoring volunteers. With Greg is Dr. Gary Chapman, the keynote speaker at the luncheon and author of The Five Love Languages.
We were honored to be able to attend the "Lift Off" event for Winston-Salem Moving Day, a Walk for Parkinson's. Rich Clifford, a retired NASA Astronaut, inspired a full house Monday night. Pictured is our team captain, Shanita Dobson, and her spouse. Right at Home is a national sponsor of Moving Day 2019!
Last weekend Right at Home was one of the sponsors of the Men Who Cook fundraiser for SECU Family House Winston-Salem. Pictured are SECU Family House board members, Roy Johnson and Jackie Brewer with Gregory Brewer.
We proudly support the scholarship fund for Wake Forest University student-athletes. Pictured here with Gregory Brewer are football players from Wake.
We had the pleasure of attending the Women of Rotary Luncheon. Jackie is pictured with former Winston-Salem Chief of Police, Linda Davis and current Chief of Police, Catrina Thompson.
