CARES Dementia Specialist (C.D.S) Certified
Right at Home of Southern Pennsylvania is pleased to announce that their director of operations, Kristin Smith, recently passed the exam to become a CARES Dementia Specialist (C.D.S).
Smith is 1 of 2 people in the state of Pennsylvania and 1 of about 250 people worldwide that holds this credential. Family members of clients can feel reassured that their loved one’s care is being overseen by someone who is recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association as a dementia specialist. She is also now a Certified DACE Coach.
Virtual Dementia Tour® and DACE Training
All Right at Home caregivers are dementia trained, and Smith provides Dementia training through the Virtual Dementia Tour® (VDT®) to Caregivers, Local Facilities & Elderly Communities. Caregivers will also go through one on one DACE training with Smith to evaluate on whether they are doing person centered care. Email Kristin Smith or Call (717) 757-7148 for tour times and pricing information.
