Pediatric Care
We Are Committed to Providing Quality Home Care Services to Children and Youth With Special Needs
In November of 2018, we were approached by Gateway Health Plan to serve a 20-year-old young man under their pediatric home health care program. It was during our time serving this young man that we became aware of the shortage of pediatric home care providers in our community. For the past ten years, we’ve been one of the most reputable home care providers for adults in the Susquehanna Valley.

Pediatric Care is PersonalQuality Care For All Ages
We are passionate about making sure that everyone has access to the quality care our staff provides and we wanted to ensure that children and pediatrics have access to that same quality of care.
Everyone on our administrative staff is a mother or a father and several of the staff have first-hand experience caring for a child with special needs. It is because of this and the need we became aware-of that we decided to take what we know and what we are passionate about and extend that to children and pediatrics in our community.
Carefully Selected Caregivers
Our aides are carefully selected to best match the needs of those they serve as well as to other involved family members. Caregivers serving young people receive additional training including general training about the unique needs and relationships involved in pediatric care, and training that’s specific to the needs of those individuals they serve.
Personality Match
Additionally, one of the most important things to match is personality. We seek to place caregivers that are good personality match with those they serve and with other family members that are involved. Our clients should be able to look forward to seeing their caregiver and the caregivers look forward to going to those they serve.
Caregiver Screening
And, of course, all of our aides must pass our screening which includes child abuse clearance, criminal background checks, drug abuse screening, DMV history, and other important checks and clearances for certain situations. Our aides will respect and maintain your privacy, and understand that they are there as your guests and are there at your choice.

Pediatric Care Services
Where and When
Our aides can serve all times of day, 365 days a year in homes, classrooms, elementary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, school buses, cars, trains, tour buses, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, parks, hiking trails, boats, ships, airplanes… - most places you can think of that are within our south-central Pennsylvania service area or for travel accompaniment outside of the area. Service can be for very short occasional visit times up to 24/7 around the clock.
Financial Resources
Pediatric and youth services can be private duty (arranged-for and paid by the family), Medicaid-covered (We participate in many PA state Medicaid programs including the Consolidated ODP Medicaid Waiver for example), Insurance-covered (such as when someone is harmed due to an accident or instances when medical coverage covers care. Gateway Health Plan, United Healthcare, and UPMC are examples of insurance companies that we work-with) and non-profits that help to fund care. We can often establish a working relationship with payers such as these if we aren’t already working with them. Let us know of your situation and we can check to see.
